Urban Christian Outreach partners with the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, two afternoons per week, to offer an Adult Education Program in a classroom setting. UCO provides a teacher (Jill), as well as a volunteer, and the Royal Ottawa provides an Occupational Therapist (Paula Osborne), as well as volunteers. UCO (Jill) is responsible for the development and implementation of the students' curriculum, and for the training and oversight of the volunteers. The Royal Ottawa (Paula) coordinates the program for the ROMHC and provides occupational support for the students.

Student enrollment is ongoing, which allows students to join the classroom at anytime between September and June. The program is available to both inpatients and outpatients. Each student follows an individual curriculum specifically designed for them; some students work on basic literacy and Math skills, while others work on achieving their High School Diploma through GED (General Education Development) programs and ILC (Independent Learning Centre) credits. The program is very successful and many students are able to achieve their goals.
